Marvel Blazek is a retired Family Nurse Practitioner who joined the Board in 2019. She received her BSN from the University of Iowa and her MSN from Drake University. In 2013, she earned the prestigious Daisy Award for excellence in nursing practice. Since retiring, she spends time gardening, quilting, and serving on various committees at Greenfield United Methodist Church, and staffs a Free Medical Clinic through Free Clinics of Iowa. Brent Myers
Board Member
Brent Myers has lived in Atlantic, Iowa his entire life. He was born in Atlantic in November of 1961 and graduated from Atlantic High School in 1980. He then went on to attend Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa graduating in 1982 with an Associates degree in Agricultural Business. He and his wife, Jan were married in 1983 and have three grown children and 4 grandchildren. Brent has been the co-owner of a landscaping business in Atlantic since 1988. God has given Brent a heart and passion for helping people who find themselves in touch situations or difficult circumstances by encouraging them to find a relationship with Jesus Christ. In his spare time Brent enjoys hiking or going on walks with his wife and their Golden Retriever, Ruby and spending time with his children and grandchildren and participating in small group Bible studies.
